Based in Ireland, my work weaves together illustration and textile art. With a BA (Hons) in Textile Art, Design & Fashion, and an MFA in Design I strive to take everything I have learned to create unique and innovative pieces that add a little magic and fantasy to everyday life.

 

My work is concept-driven, motivated by an inherent desire to learn. My inspiration stems from a profound interest in stories, colours and the natural environment. All my work is immersed in myths and legends and much of my inspiration is drawn from the sea and landscapes of Ireland.
 
Using illustration and bold lines, I get to stretch my ideas and inspirations further, unfolding my initial thoughts into something that is new and different. I have always been inspired by simple design and how beautiful and sophisticated a design is with clean bold lines and simple use of colour.
 
Incorporating various elements within my work, allows me to combine strength, elegance, originality and hidden messages as much of my work is about the importance of sharing our stories and cherishing our surroundings.
